Character Plus Series

The initial release of the SansAmp Character Series occurred in 2008. These pedals celebrated various time periods through the unique personalities of specific amplifiers, totaling 8 in number. By adjusting a few controls, you could craft highly coveted sounds and customize to your liking. Each iteration, from scarce vintage treasures to bold contemporary icons, was conveyed through its own distinct tonal profiles.

Explore new tonal possibilities by incorporating additional building blocks, as certain pairings have a lasting impact and are synonymous with history - think Ralph & Alice, Fred & Wilma, Lucy & Ricky, Abbott & Costello, Bonnie & Clyde. The Character Plus Series commemorates the distinct blend of specific vintage amplifiers and pedals, elegantly combining them into single packages:

Range of Character Settings:
• Below 12 o’clock are in the Black and Silver Face family. When clean, there’s a soft midrange with a nice top-end sparkle. Driven, the tone moves to a warmer low-end breakup.
• Around 12 o’clock brings you into Blonde territory with more of everything –more lows, more mids and more highs.
• Above 12 o’clock moves things into the Tweed era with a pronounced midrange bark.
• Full up gives you lead boosted tones.

Independent Scream Section Features:
• OVERDRIVE to adjust the overall amount of drive. Highly interactive with the level of your guitar.
• TONE with specialized voicing for adjusting the high-end and mid-range.
